Are you actively investing?
Yes. Chair Capital is actively deploying capital across energy transition, data infrastructure, AI, and healthcare technologies. Through four dedicated investment strategies, we are currently reviewing and backing companies at every stage from early-stage validation through to construction and full build-out.
What is your typical investment amount?
We invest between £10 million and £500 million per company on an equity basis, structured around key business milestones rather than deployed in a single tranche. Companies below our minimum ticket size can be supported through our M&A Advisory team.
What does your due diligence process look like?
Our structured four-stage process moves from initial screening through to capital deployment. We assess technology, financials, legal, and governance before issuing a term sheet, ensuring every investment is built on solid foundations.
Are you open to co-investment partnerships?
Our institutional-grade investment approach is specifically designed to attract sophisticated co-investors. Our portfolio companies have raised over £500 million in follow-on funding, and we actively facilitate introductions to our network of 300+ executives, strategic partners, and major institutions who regularly seek to co-invest alongside Chair Capital.
What if my company needs bridge funding before reaching your minimum ticket size?
This is precisely what our M&A Advisory division was built for. Where a company requires between £1 million and £15 million to reach our investment threshold, our Advisory team activates our partner network of family offices, VCs, angel networks, and loan note providers, with Chair Capital's committed term sheet de-risking the bridge round entirely.
What support do you offer beyond capital?
We provide active strategic support throughout the investment lifecycle, including NED services and fractional leadership, board composition and governance optimisation, financial modelling and scenario planning, procurement and supply chain support, and introductions to our global network of executives, strategic partners, and co-investors.
